Martina Arioli studied law, philosophy and political science at the University of Bern and was admitted to the Bar in Bern in 1999 with the best bar exam. In 2001, she completed her postgraduate studies at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LL.M. LSE). She is registered at the Zurich Bar and admitted to practice in all of Switzerland.

Before becoming a Partner of TIMES Attorneys in 2022, Martina Arioli ran her own IT/IP boutique law firm Arioli Law, established in the heart of Zurich in 2013. Previously, she was a member of the IP/IT practice group of Walder Wyss, one of the leading law firms in Switzerland. Martina also worked as Executive Staff Legal with Zurich Insurance Company, supporting Group Operations in BPO and ITO projects, as well as with UBS as Legal Support of Supply & Demand Management, and as Legal Counsel of CSC Switzerland GmbH.

For her entire career, Martina has focused on technology law, data protection law, employment law, as well as copyright law. Martina combines in-depth knowledge on complex contractual matters in outsourcing, cloud computing, information technology and telecoms projects with the experience of implementing such global projects as an in-house lawyer. Martina provides comprehensive advice to companies on software development, licensing, technology-related transactions, IP protection, and privacy matters. Martina also regularly advises clients in the entertainment industry, mainly theatre, film and music.

Since 2008, Martina Arioli has chaired the prestigious annual Data Protection Conference hosted by the Europe Institute, University of Zurich. She is a member of the Advisory Board of CH++ and the Swiss FinTech AG loanboox and is a mediator with ITDR, the Experts in IT Conflict Management. Martina lectures IT law and data protection law within the programs Master of Science in Engineering (Universities of Applied Sciences Switzerland), CAS Inhouse Counsel (Law Faculty of the University of Zurich) and CAS Digital Masterclass (HWZ Zurich).
